It says:….. I will put none of the diseases upon thee………..for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

The question is why should there be a need for healing if no one is afflicted with disease!?

My teacher Rav Nager z”l told me years ago that it was the Rambam[Maimonides] -if I am not wrong –who derived from this verse that medicine should be Preventive medicine [ then none of the diseases [will come] upon thee,], because I am your healer-your doctor.[who PREVENTS disease.

Interesting to know that it is told, Tthat in old China the doctor was ONLY paid as long as the patient was kept healthy[ the doctor had to keep the patient healthy by his good advice.

How “happy” should doctors be today that this is not the norm anymore……
