From a book of Rav Chaim Kanievsky.
It has been said that Rav Shteinman from Bene Barak was known for his exceptional humility. Only in later years did he become involved in communal affairs.
Of course, this was accompanied by much honor.
He said that he knew that the honor was not good for him but that he had to do his task -the Will of Ha-Shem-because it was beneficial for the community, and he was worried that he may suffer in Gehinnom for this. [hard to understand for us]
May we all try to learn from this….and tomorrow the world will be a better place
