Onions: how to use them for colds / sore throat /allergies etc

May I suppose that most of the readers will know by now that a simple remedy for a cold, sore throat, or anything of that kind is to cut an onion in pieces and leave it overnight on a plate in your bedroom?

For the following nights take a new onion.

For a sore throat do the following as well:

cut some onion into small pieces and put them all over the length of a big towel and fold the towel well so that the onion pieces are well closed in the towel.

Use this towel for many hours per day or night as a scarf around the neck.

For some colds/allergies it may also help to make a homoeopathic solution of onion: dip a fresh piece of onion just for a second or so in a glass of warm water and take it out straight away.

Sip frequently a bit from this water during the day………may work wonders.

Some people get an infection/inflammation around the nail.

Antibiotics prescribed so often for such a condition [paronychium] seem useless to me.

Simple home treatment: buy some ready-made chazeret[horse radish, mixed with beetroot widely available], mix it with some honey, and treat the inflamed skin with this until it is better.

Why do you want to avoid the spot your cat sleeps in

and WHEN do you want a cat on your lap/ leg/ in your arms?

Cats are very amazing and “strange animals”…….they should thank their Creator that they are created so different from human beings and for that reason will never be used as experimental animals [drug testing etc]

I remember my first pharmacological lesson where the famous Prof. De Wied z”l injected a cat morphium[morphine] and the cat started dancing!!

Every human being would be “flattened” for hours. This is all by the way…

Cats should have a place in any orthopedic departmentbecause cats tend to purr.!

Just let a cat sleep/rest on a fractured bone,

This will speed up the healing of any fracture!!

Fractures are healed quickly with the frequencies of their purring of 25-50 Hz. All of the cat’s purrs fall well within the 20 – 50 Hz and extend up to 140 Hz

It is important to avoid sleeping where your cat sleeps, if your home is located near a geopathic stress fault, your cat will likely find it and sleep near it. If you don’t have a cat, look for areas where plants do not thrive, ant hills are built or termites congregate.

These are all signs of a geopathic stress zone which is a distorted or disrupted electromagnetic field of the Earth (Schumann Waves). The Earth resonates with an electromagnetic frequency of approximately 7.83 Hz – Schumann resonances (SR), which falls within the range of (alpha) human brainwaves.

Some claim that the “geopathic stress” and other kinds of electromagnetic pollution cause illnesses ranging from fatigue, depression, and sleep problems to diabetes and cancer.

Problems emerge when disruptions like underground streams, sewers, water and electric lines, tunnels, etc distort the Earth’s natural energy. If you wish to read further about this at: http://www.wikihow.com/Deal-With-Geopathic-Stress

At ending with some Tora:

The Golden Rule in Marriage by Rabbi Mendel Kaplan z”tl

excerpt from Reb Mendel and His Wisdom – ArtScroll (page 173)

“To a woman, says the Rambam, her life has as much value as she feels she’s worth to her husband. When her husband honors her, he shows that she is valuable to him. A wife is not a chavrusa, G-d forbid. It can cause a lot of trouble if you think in those terms – that sometimes you’re right and sometimes she’s right. No!

Whatever wife does is good and nice, and if you scold her and take that feeling of importance away from her, you’ve robbed her of her life.”
