True story- My Italian MIL thinks that Jewish is a culture like Italian. My husband and I were trying to explain the difference, so he asked: “where do Italians come from?” She says, “Italy. He asks, “Where do Irish people come from”? Her response ” Ireland. “Polish”? “Poland”. Ma, where do Jews come from”? Without blinking an eye she says “Jew rusalem!”
