I just got a telephone call from a few patients about the prevention of malaria.

I will not tell you by email what to do. This would be irresponsible.

I wrote in the past about malaria.

Ask the MOH if the area where you are travelling to is a malaria area.

Anyhow, prevention can be a big problem these days.

Good to go, covered as much as possible in the evenings.

Any severe disease in a malaria area SHOULD be considered malaria [even if the symptoms are not typical for malaria, until this is excluded or treated as such [diarrhoea, severe headaches, urinary tract infections, severe cough etc ] because delaying treatment can be deadly. TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.

I hereby send you some examined mosquito repellents

Citronella has been used “for ages.” Stay safe!
