Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have a reduced risk of developing AD [Alzheimer] which was originally attributed to their use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
However, NSAIDs showed no benefit in clinical trials with either AD or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) participants.
