Like some other useful herbs, considered to be a nuisance [“pest”][growing aggressively]
In the Japanese kitchen, the starch of the root is used as a thickening agent.
In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used to reduce fever, especially when accompanied by headaches, stiff neck and muscle pain.
In hypertensive patients, it can help against headaches, tinnitus, vertigo, and numbness of the extremities
It can be useful for irritable bowels and all kinds of gastrointestinal problems.
A combination of Kudzu and Crataegus [uzrar in Hebrew] has been shown to be very useful for angina pectoris.
A long history of safety, also for children and pregnancy
Don’t use kudzu together with methotrexate as this can cause dramatic increases in methotrexate levels and can be dangerous.
For treatment of alcohol don’t use the alcohol tincture[of course….!]
Can be taken as a decoction[boiling the root], as capsules or as a tincture.
