To be short: don’t buy any peanut butter which is imported from China, this is not a political issue! Israel seems not to be fit [or does not want] to check the quality of any [?] imported food!

Aflatoxin is a type of mold that is considered a human carcinogen. It’s found in certain commonly eaten foods including peanuts, peanut butter and corn, and is most harmful in parts of the world where people consume large amount of these foods, such as Asia and Africa.

Some research shows that crops being grown in humid locations such as Brazil and China are most likely to contain aflatoxin.

Peanut butter from China should be checked[samples] for aflatoxins, one of the most dangerous carcinogens [liver] but this is not done is Israel! All I write here I have checked myself. Misrad Ha-Briut claims that this is not their task [or any department of health connected to them]

The importer should be responsible. For example Duv Duvan and health food shops sell the imported peanut butters and receive a DECLARATION from the peanut producer in China that the peanut butter is “safe”………one hardly can think of a better “jole”!
