This week after Rosh Ha-Shana I had various telephone calls from patients with [heavy] vomiting, abdominal pains, sometimes accompanied by diarrhoea or other ill feeling.
I don’t know the reason, of course, but most of them may have had food poisoning.
[My daughter [pediatrician working in Elad] told me that a group of children” were diagnosed with a campylobacter or shigella infection]
I am writing you this because I was a bit surprised that only a few patients used ginger during this period, which is probably the most effective spice for any stomach upset [dried gingers as tea, fresh ginger, capsules or even sukariot of ginger]
Remenber this please, if ever necessary!
