Try by all means to get pesticide-free spinach!!
According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), spinach has more pesticide residue by weight than other produce tested.
USDA samples have shown that spinach contains up to 16 pesticides and metabolites of pesticides.
The EWG expressed concern that about 71% of spinach samples contained some form of permethrin, a pesticide banned in the EU.
