While in every prayer we are allowed /recommended praying for our friends / family /our self, in the Rosh Ha-Shana Amida [shemona esree], especially in the Musaf amida we are adjured to pray FOR ALL MANKIND and not just for our own “narrow circle”.
I am writing this in the first place to remind myself about this, but maybe some of you may also benefit from this “refresher”.
