As it is a big thing to help anyone -according to his possibility-it is uttermost important to know how this fund works. Is there any bikoret -overseeing [on any of these actions by any trustable [governmental or other]organization]??
As I understand this fund is not recognized by the tax authorities in Israel.
I understand that anyone can “start an action”. It is a pity if one could help and does not do this because so much is unclear.
Who ever can please help us/me out by your knowledge. Don’t be indifferent.

[This post was forwarded to me by a friend who is on this mailing list. Here’s my response:]
1. Let me start by clarifying:
The Chesed Fund does NOT send out ANY email. Any mail that you get is from campaign organizers who use The Chesed Fund as a platform. (They might use emails similar to ours, but they are in no way coming from us).
2. The Chesed Fund is a platform, not a “fund”. Anyone can open a campaign on The Chesed Fund (currently – if you have a US bank account .we will be expanding in the future), and therefore it is not tax deductible.
[If you have a US 501c3 – then we can supply tax receipts.]
3. We employ a support team who will remove any fraud campaign that we find. We also rely on messages that we get from our users, so if you suspect any fraud on the site, please do report. Click on the support icon on the bottom right corner of the campaign page.
4. We also have “verified” campaigns, where we actually go out and do more research on the campaigns, the references etc. Those campaigns are marked with a green “verified” banner at the bottom of the picture.
5. It’s very easy to start a campaign. Just go to https://thechesedfund.com/ and click on the big red “Get Started” button. The flow is very easy, and you can have a campaign up and running in 5-10 minutes.

6. Fees? We do not charge any fees for regular campaigns, other than the ~3% processing fees which go to the Credit card processing company.
